#7 Butterflies

verse one:
she sat in a corner of the room
as she watched the raindrops fall
tears ran down her cheeks
as she looked out at the hall
she used to run up and down
till she heard her mother's call
she hardly ever cried
she was her mama's little girl

chorus:
chasing that butterfly
light dancing in her eyes
holding her head up high
she graced all with her smile
she never blamed the Lord for
her short and simple life
then she spread her wings and said
"i'll meet you at the end"

verse two:
a butterfly fluttered in
and landed on her hand
it's pretty golden wings
they seemed to give her strength
she wiped away her tears and reached
for the Bible on her bed
then she bowed her head and prayed
for her darling little girl
